Although the book is published under my full name Catherine, I have, for most of my life, been known as Cathy. Somehow, ‘Catherine’ seemed more fitting and and a whole lot more grown up for my new identity as an author! But please, call me Cathy.

Having previously worked in social policy and research in the voluntary sector, I was ordained as a Presbyter in the Methodist Church in 1997. A Londoner to the core, I have recently moved North, to the town of Stockport in Greater Manchester, having previously worked in Tottenham, Kings Cross, Marylebone (where I also served as part of the ecumenical Chaplaincy Team at the University of Westminster) and Hackney. I am an experienced Spiritual Director and leader of retreats. I have also recently qualified as a life coach. I write liturgy and hymns and my work has been used widely in various forms of worship and published in ‘The Preacher’ (Journal of the College of Preachers), ‘Magnet’ and the Methodist Recorder.
